The Book Nook

We are excited about the addition of  The Book Nook at More Time!

Fueled by a love of reading, our staff has created a space to feed the passion for a good book by creating a section of the store for used books.  We invite you to consign your books with us and have set up guidelines to make The Book Nook run smoothly and efficiently.  Please read on...

 

Terms and Conditions:

1. Books will be approved upon drop off.  We ask that you take back any books that we do not deem sellable at drop off.  Because space is limited currently, we ask that you bring NO MORE THAN FIVE books to consign each visit.

2. In order to consign your books, only novels that are in good condition will be accepted as we want to offer the best selection to our shoppers! Books that are torn, have highlighting or markings, have worn bindings or covers, or are marked as "free" or "not for sale" will not be accepted.  *At this time, we are only accepting young-adult and adult fiction.  We prefer books that will sell quickly to keep the selection fresh.  With that in mind, please bring us popular books that are more current publications.  We do not accept textbooks, magazines, comic books, political books, or library books.  

3. Prices will be determined by condition and popularity of book, not to exceed 50% of the retail price.

4. Consignor will receive 40% of the sale of his or her books once they are sold.  Money in the account can be used as store credit or be cashed out at any time. When you checkout or stop in, simply let us know the name on your account.  Store credit can be used on anything in the store.

5. The consignment period is 6 months.  After 6 months consigned books will become the property of More Time to be sold or donated. You are welcome to retrieve your unsold books before that 6 month term is up.  Unlike our consignment clothing, books will not mark down on our regular schedule.  They will stay at the initial price for the duration of the consignment period.

6. Books must be clear of garage sale stickers.

7. More Time is not responsible for any fire or water damage, theft, or destruction of your gently used books.
